Dan Behrens
Dan Behrens has spent 30 years in the electrical and pool industries. He started as an Electrician working with his father’s company when he was just 14. He then joined the Navy as an Electricians’ Mate. Once out of the military, he went to work in the shipyards. In 1995, he started his own electrical contracting business that turned into a pool business as well. That company quickly became the largest pool subcontracting company in San Diego County. When the recession hit in the late 2000’s, Dan moved to Arizona and began selling pools in the Phoenix area. He always had an underlying passion for solar so he decided to try his hand in the solar industry. He quickly realized that it truly was a rewarding field and decided to start his own solar company, Plus Electric Solar Solutions. While he thought the pool industry was behind him, he found that many solar customers also wanted pools so he decided to open another pool company, Blue Mirage Pools, thus allowing him to remain in two industries he was very passionate about.
Christy Behrens
Christy Behrens joined the team after 25 years in the hospitality industry – working in the offsite catering and special event business – as well as six years in guest relations at a 5-star RV. During her career, she managed and mentored dozens of employees; many to this day who still reach out to her for guidance. Her strong managerial skills, as well as her customer service and organizational skills help to keep the business and human resource side of the company operating successfully.
Becca Waddell
Becca Waddell has been selling solar for over five years in Mohave County. She is a knowledgeable professional who will make your solar buying process worry-free! Becca was previously in auto sales for most of her career but made the move to solar when she learned more about it and became passionate about what she was selling. Becca is a busy mother of four and enjoys spending time with her family.
Alexa Aragon
Alexa Aragon has been in the solar industry for five years and in project management for 11 years. Her strong organizational and logistical skills help keep the company on track and always moving forward. She is responsible for implementing project job flow and is always looking for ways to increase productivity and customer service. When Alex isn’t working, you will find her spending time with her family, playing baseball and rockin’ out to country jams.
Rick Behrens
Rick Behrens had a long career in food service, working his way up from a cook at Denny’s to a General Manager at Red Robin. After deciding to change career paths, he moved to San Diego to work with his brother in the pool industry as a Construction Foreman. When the recession hit, he moved to Arizona to sell pools. In 2011, he returned to California and started working for the largest pool builder in Fresno County, where he was the number one salesman for several years.
Branden Riggs
Branden Riggs graduation from Universal Technical Institute in 2005 and worked for Mercedes-Benz from 2005-2009. He left MB to pursue his own shop, which he opened in Arizona in 2009. Not enjoying the hot Arizona summers, Branden decided to move his business to San Diego in 2013. He had a loyal following of customers and is an expert mechanic. Branden closed his business in 2018 and decided he wanted to try out the solar industry with his dad, Dan. He’d heard him talking about it for years and thought it would be a good move for him. He’s a great addition to the team; very eager and excited to sell solar.
Michelle Anderson
Michelle Anderson joined the Plus Electric Solar team as an Administrator in 2019. Her career in solar started in Lake Havasu City in2011. She worked herself up from receptionist to Office Manager and has a good understanding of the operational aspects of the solar industry. She has lived in Lake Havasu City since 2004, working at various companies in administrative roles. Prior to that, she lived in San Diego, running a veterinary office for 14 years. She has been married for 28 years, is raising their grandson, loves animals and music, and is in a local band called Evenstar.
